About our process
How this site is researched and verified
Every figure you read here is traceable to an insurer's official published materials — and re-checked against them automatically. Here's what happens at each stage.
1. Research: official sources only
We collect facts exclusively from each insurer's official website and policy documents (product pages, benefit tables, policy wording PDFs). We do not use third-party summaries, aggregators, or reviews as sources. Each fact is recorded with the exact source URL and the date we accessed it.
2. Grounding: quote-anchored facts
Every fact is stored with a short verbatim quote from the source page. Our build system refuses to publish a figure that isn't tied to a sourced fact record, and each record carries the document it came from — a source link where the document has a public address, and where it has none the page says so and names the committed copy, with the edition and a hash of the bytes, instead of pointing at a page the document is reached through.
3. Differences must be proven
We only call a feature a differentiator after comparing all covered insurers on that dimension. Comparison topics are chosen where plans genuinely differ; if every insurer offers roughly the same thing, we say so instead of manufacturing a ranking. Comparison pages list at most five standout plans, with the selection criteria stated.
4. Automated re-verification
Software regularly re-fetches each source page and checks that our quoted facts still appear there. When an insurer changes their product, the check fails, the affected content is flagged, and we re-research before republishing. Each fact shows its "verified on" date. A document we hold but cannot fetch — one with no public address — is re-checked against the committed copy we hold, by its hash rather than by a fetch.
5. Review before publishing
Content is drafted, then re-read by a reviewer with fresh context that re-opens every source itself — its findings are written down before the author sees them, so nothing is dropped in the retelling. Alongside that, a suite of automated checks must pass: every source link resolves, every quote is still verbatim on the live page, and every published figure traces to the record it was read from. Nothing merges without the owner's approval.
What we don't do
- No premium quotes or price rankings — prices are personal; benefits are comparable.
- No "best overall" verdicts or financial advice — we show verified differences; the choice is yours.
- No pay-to-play placement — standouts come from the data.
Found something that looks out of date? Insurers change products between our verification runs. Always confirm against the insurer's official documents — and the source link is right next to every figure so you can.
Tell us and we will re-check it. Send the page and the figure to niokmambi@gmail.com and we will go back to the source document and correct it if we got it wrong.
